ULF27 (Unidentified Life Form 27) Metroid Other M

          ULF 27 is presumably the first boss in Metroid Other M. This creature is made up of tiny purple bugs. At first, no damage is dealt by the federation or Samus. Then, Adam makes a plan, which is Samus firing a missile at the eye, then the Federation troopers use their freeze guns to freeze the arms. Last, Samus shoots another missile at the frozen arm. Then, the monster has no arms, the creature can then slams its whole body into the ground in an attempt to injure Samus or one of the Marines. It can also spin its body very fast and jump. After the base has been destroyed, Samus must attack its eye to finish off the beast, which is in fact revealed to be a larger orange bug, possibly a queen of the species, with the eye only being a design on its carapace. During the fight, Adam Malkovich authorizes the troopers to use ice weaponry, and Samus to use Missiles. The fight also earns Samus the respect of Malkovich once again. So that's ULF 27.
